This site is designed for a single purpose.

To help people who are looking to acquire some land. This can be via purchase, or adverse possession, it matters not, the site will show you how to search online using readily available information and websites, what to look for, how to gather background information, how to explore and visit any interesting sites, and finally, how to establish possession, and to secure the location you have found(or suggestions about how to approach and buy).

And just to give you a sense of what I have spent a lifetime exploring and finding, here is a pages of photo’s in the Gallery. All of these were taken by me over the last few years. There is nothing to say that any of these locations are available in any way, they are just indicative of what I have been able to find, and of course in every case, visit and photograph.

Just a quick note about making contact. I have just updated the contact page and….

I am actually really keen to engage with other people engaging on the journey of finding land and making it their own and have actually been really dissapointed that there has been none of that. This is part of the reason I closed the site down for a period..I just simply thought…”What’s the point”. This site has been a huge amount of work, I’m freely sharing a lot of really useful knowledge and experience that have taken decades to develop, and I don’t have the slightest idea if anyone is actually benefitting from what I’ve created here. If you’re reading any part of this, then please drop me a brief message…

If you find a property here that you actually own, and object to my visiting, then I suggest that you do something about the state your property has gotten into, so people like me have no interest in coming along and finding it.

Responsible ownership confers responsibilities. Make sure you are aware of these.

And this is all freely available. I have created the site because I believe, over time,I have learned a considerable amount of useful information, and developed the requisite skills to be able to find suitable sites.

I now have a mapping system and database that consists of thousands of potential sites. If only a fraction of these were to actually come into my possession, I could have more land and property than I would know what to do with.

However, this information is not on offer(but I will consider this) as there has been a considerable amount of work invested in finding all of these locations.

What I am happy to do is describe the actual process I use to search, find sites, gather background information, and in some actual cases, secure the sites I have found.

Enough information for anyone to go through the entire process of finding land, to taking possession and eventual ownership of it.

Here is a broad overview of what information the site has available

How to do an actual search for land and property

Gathering further information to help you.

Taking adverse possession and claiming land

Taking over a residential property. Legal implications.

Some examples of what I have found.

So armed with this information, if you want to, you can follow the same process, and look for sites for yourself. What you eventually do with them is entirely up to you.

What I am interested in is to learn what parts of the site people find useful. What information, if any is inaccurate, and if people are prepared to do so, please let me know of any changes, or improvements you would make to create a better site.

To anyone starting out, I would recommend that you read the site in full just to get a good overall picture. I suspect that most people will find the actual search information the most useful part, and will skip through the rest. This is not even a complicated process, but it can of course be time consuming, and may never even lead to any definite result.

Getting good information on any site can be a lot more complicated but can be very rewarding as you start to piece a picture together

On the other hand, in a few years, you may have brought a seemingly abandoned piece of land back into use, and are enjoying all the benefits that go with that.

So good luck to you, and I hope you all find what you are looking for.

Oh, and if you do, just send me a note to say you’ve been successful, and how the site may have helped you. This site has taken a lot of work to set up, it would be nice to know that the effort has been worthwhile.
